Good God I Wish I Was A Gucci Girl....

Let's get real, the Fall 08 Gucci girl oozes sex, drugs and rock and roll...Thank you Miss Giannini for creating this collection that embodies all that we are or wish that we could become. I am absolutely smitten with the tall fringed boots and the multitude of gold studs that were hammered into nearly every surface they could fit. The color palette is so spot on and I plan to mimic this with my own wardrobe for the fall season that is soon to be upon us. All in all, the mixing of patterns and motifs, layering, accessorizing and overall styling is so fantastic, I cannot wait to see what Frida comes up with for spring!

Side bar...who loves the model with the gorgeous red hair? I'm a minorly obsessed with this hair color and seriously contemplating dying my bright blond locks this shade...thoughts?

Stuck In A Time Warp...

Always the eternal fan of any and all things vintage, here are a few of my favorite vintage photographs. From the cover of Vogue to the archives of Conde Nast these images are the epitome of class and elegance that women from the 1940-1960s evoked. There is an element of mystery combined with a hint of flirtation that all these women portray...How cool are they? Now, if only some certain ladies could censor themselves in the media today....

It's Ok To Be Dirty Sometimes...

Thanks to one of my trendy coworkers, I was introduced to this wonderful collection of jewelery. Named Dirty Librarian Chains, I'm totally smitten with the aesthetic and the motivation behind designer Susan Domelsmith to create her current and past collections. Ever on the hunt for the perfect deconstructed piece, Domelsmith became frustrated with her lack of success in finding what she was looking for in the market so she decided to create it herself. Combining vintage chains with new materials, she has created magnificent pieces that have been well received by the public (Gossip Girl what?). I am especially smitten with her knack for twisting, knotting and producing a beautifully tangled mess of chains....now just have to figure out which piece is my favorite...
