Beautiful In Black & White

For my fellow fans of vintage fashion photography, here are a few stunners....How elegant and stylish are these women?! I have to say the first three photos are taking the top spot on my list. Which photo gets your vote?

Hermes After My Heart

I know many of these photos from the Hermes ad campaigns have made their victory laps around the blog sphere before, but I could not resist to add them again. I cannot quite pin point why I am drawn to them for one particular reason, but I am smitten! From the colors to the slightly provocative undertone to the equestrian theme, they are spot on and beautiful in my book! I have also recently developed an odd infatuation with elephants (must be that they are a good luck token). Which is your favorite?

Oldies But Goodies

So I was browsing some websites (I apologize but I cannot remember where I actually did find these photos! Eek!) and came across some photos from the Jill Stuart 2008 Spring Collection and was in love. I know these photos are on their way to becoming slightly vintage, but they are magnificent! The colors were so soft and sweet, a drastic contrast to the harsh colors of the current fall/winter collections. I think I was also mesmerized by the the heaping mess of clothes the models are falling on as it is all too familiar looking to the current state of my bedroom floor! Thoughts?

Happy New Year!!!

Happy New Year!! As always, it is that time of the year for resolutions and starting new now isn't it? That being said, I'd love to hear what all your resolutions are! I have a few myself but one silly one is to keep up on my blog better than I have the past few months! All the best to my fellow fashionistas!

Loving Lanvin....

I do have a new obsession! Lanvin's Spring 2009 Collection was to die for and I'm particularly smitten with the jewels. Again, to reiterate my philosophy of bigger is better, check out the proportions of the necklaces! They are definitely giant in many ways. The colors used are creative and an innovative approach to jewelery that evokes a playful yet vintage feel that I am all for. I am also a fan of the use of the Lucite in the statement necklaces. All in all, this collection of jewels was fantastic and I am hitting the flea markets ASAP to find myself a statement necklace or two for the holidays!
